North America’s First Underwater Sculpture Exhibit:
UMA is the first underwater permanent sculpture exhibition in North America. This unusual museum merges art, marine conservation, and eco-tourism. Gulf coastal waters off Walton County are 95% barren sand flats. A one-acre patch of barren sand flats off Grayton Beach State Park has been dedicated to the CAA for a permanent underwater sculpture exhibit. Every year artist from all over the world compete to have their sculpture become part of the exhibit.
